Acknowledgments
During the past decades of work here in Colombia, Sister Herlinde Moises and the Fundación Madre Herlinda have received a number of awards for their work. Among others are:
- 1982 – Archbishop-Romero award of the catholic male association of Austria
- 1993 – Honored by the federal state government of Bolívar (Colombia), in honor of the International Women’s Day for Maria Herlinda Moises, the founder of FMDH, in acknowledgement of her work.
- 1994 – Acknowledgement by the Austrian government for her incessant commitment for the fight against poverty.
- 1995 – 7. annual award from CAFAM, in honor of the woman in Colombia – in second for the woman of the year award Sister Maria Herlinda Moises – Comfenalco, Bolívar, Colombia.
- 1996 – “Teacher of the year”, awarded by the mayor of Cartagena, Colombia.
- 1998 – Archdiocese Salzburg – Honor for Sister Herlinde Moises for her incessant missionary work for the good of the poor.
- 2001 – Honored by the mayor of Cartagena de Indias and of the institute for culture in Cartagena for Sister Herlinde Moises, as founder of the Fundación Madre Herlinda, for her 36 year work in the villages around the bay of Cartagena and along the Dique Canal.
- 2002 – Acknowledgement for the Fundación Madre Herlinda, FMHM, by the Colombian President for its work to promote peace.
- 2005 – Order for service for “Historical and cultural heritage of humanity in the rank of a commissioned officer” by the district council of Cartagena
- 2005 – Acknowledgement from CEDAL to the Fundación Madre Herlinda – FMHM on the occasion of its 40 years of service for the good of the poor
- 2005 – Acknowledgement and Thanks from the Franciscan Sisterhood of Maria Auxiliadora for Sister Herlinde Moises
- 2006 – Honor on behalf of the pastoral commission of the archdiocese Cartagena, with the medal of service Monseñor Eugenio Biffi
